Do you remember, in January last year? A school bus in Gurgaon's Sohna Road was attacked by a mob carrying out protests against Padmaavat.
These protesters were caught in video hurling stones at the bus, while children inside cowered in fear.
As soon as the video went viral on social media, Rahul Gandhi, Farhan Akhtar, Prakash Raj, Ayushmann Khurrana took to Twitter to criticise the protests and called it as terrorism.
Farhan Akhtar tweeted, "Attacking a school bus is not an agitation. It is terrorism. The people who did it are terrorists. Please refer to them as such."
Arvind Kejriwal called the protestors as goondas in the garb of Hindus and it is the duty of every citizen to save India and Hindu religion from these goondas.
Today, across India, public transport buses are being burnt; trains are being burnt; police stations are being burnt; railway stations are being burnt; policemen are being beaten up; petrol bombs are being thrown at the police.
But, these same left-liberal leaders and celebrities are not condemning these incidents as terrorist or jihandi acts. They are labeling these protestors as innocent students.
Right now, the country is at the same crossroads as was just before India-Pakistan partition. Those very slogans are being raised, which were raised before the Partition. And, Congress once again are standing with those very same people.
I WANT to ask the Lutyens media that why they are not showing the slogans raised at Jamia Millia Islamiya Unveristy and Aligarh Muslim University on their television channels?
At Seelampur, Murshidabad and Jama Masjid areas, the protestors raised jihadi slogans like "Tera Mera Rishta Kya La Ilaha Illa Allah" and "Hindustan Se Azadi" were raised.
Are these slogans anything to do with students' movement?
No.
These are the same slogans which were raised before carrying out genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir. These are the same slogans which were raised at "Direct Action Day" in Bengal. These are the same slogans which are raised by ISI activists.
The left-liberal cabal and Lutyens media are linking such type of slogans with students' movement.
And, what type of people are being made heroes?
Likes of Aysha Renna and Ladeeda Farzana are being interviewed by controversial journalist Barkha Dutt, who has been accused of undermining India's national security during Kargil War.
These female students of Jamia Milia Islamia are extremists in their ideologies and openly give a call to Jihad.
Aysha Renna had called India 'fascist' because the terrorist Yakub Memon was hanged till death after he was convicted for his involvement in the Mumbai Blasts that killed hundreds of people.
Ladeeda Farzana, in one of her posts, openly gave a call to Jihad. She said people should "learn about our Jihad."
You must have heard AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan's speech. What was he speaking?
Was he speaking about CAB? Was he speaking about NRC?
No.
Amanatullah Khan was saying that Indian Muslims' headgear and beards would be banned; azan and mikes in mosques would be banned, and burqa would be banned. That was an inflammatory speech to incite communal violence.
Each word which he spoke was nothing but pack of lies and spewed venom.
Kejriwal government, on the other hand, announced Rs 5 lakh and job to Jamia student injured in eye during anti-CAA stir. His MLA Haji Ishraq personally visited the court to get bail for those who were involved in Seelampur violence.
Congress leaders Mateen Ahmad Khan and Asif Mohammad also raised anti-India slogans in unison.
I THINK, we should openly talk about this.
Politicians and media should talk about the real intent of these protests.
Why Khilafat 2.0 was written on Jamia Millia Islamiya's wall? Why slogans of "Freedom from Hindus" were raised in Aligarh Muslim University?
These questions should be asked and we all should hit the streets in all cities, districts and states. It is time for all of us to hold peaceful demonstrations.
We have won the battle in Parliament. We must not lose the battle in streets.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee yesterday had staged a mega rally to protest against Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens Bill.
Addressing the rally, Mamata Banerjee said she would not implement CAA as it was unconstitutional and divisive in law. To oppose the act, she held a massive rally in Kolkata.
The reasons for this protest rally is not far to fetch. Actually, she is agitated over the latest developments in the state, where several illegal Bangladeshi immigrants living in India are returning to their country, fearing that they would be detained in detention camps after the implementation of NRC.
Such incidents are making headlines in Bangladeshi newspapers and television channels. Dhaka Tribune, a Bangladeshi newspaper, reported that as many as 203 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants from India were arrested by Border Guards Bangladesh.
These immigrants were entering Bangladesh illegally from the Jinahidaho Maheshpur India-Bangladesh border.
Sources in BSF also stated that at least 15-20 illegal immigrants are crossing over to Bangladesh on a daily basis.
"The reverse migration of illegal Bangladeshis has increased in the last few days. We have information that every day, people are crossing over to Bangladesh and they are using the porous border in North 24 Parganas area of Basirhat and Bongaon, and the border in Nadia district to cross over. Some reports are also coming in from Malda in West Bengal," The Sunday Guardian reported quoting a highly-placed source in BSF.
The BSF source also said many immigrants living illegally in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi and Assam, are fleeing to Bangladesh.
Mamata's Dreams Dashed
These illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, who were given aadhar and pan numbers illegally, form a huge vote-bank for Mamata Banerjee. If they return to Bangladesh, it would spell doom to TMC's political prospects, when West Bengal goes for elections in 2021.
To stop this catastrophe, Mamata Banerjee has been making all kinds of political posturings to save her chair. She spread lies about CAA and NRC, creating fears in Muslims that they would lose their citizenship.
Soon after she came to know of the reverse immigration of Bangladeshis from all parts of the country, Mamata Banerjee kicked up a campaign by giving illegal ads in private channels, urging Bangladeshi immigrants not to leave India, as she would not allow CAA and NRC to be implemented in the state.
She also held a massive protest in Kolkata in this regard, but to he dismay, the following morning, Bangladesh Foreign Minister A K Abdul Momen assurance to welcome the illegal immigrants from India, if the Indian government provided them a list.
With this assurance, the passing of NRC in the Parliament and deporting illegal Bangladeshi nationals has only become imminent.
The people, on the other hand, are watching the opposition's drama unfold, from the sidelines. They very well know Mamata Banerjee does not have any power, under the Union List of seventh schedule of the Indian constitution, to stall CAA in the state.
The only option Mamata Banerjee is to gracefully accept the law and understand that India is not a charitable centre where anybody can cross over, stay and exercise their illegal voting rights to form governments.
Soon after the passing of Citizenship Amendment Bill in the Parliament, the left-liberal cabal have risen in protest against it.
The left-liberal cabal like Arfa Khanum and Javed Akhtar are contending that the Supreme Court should give its verdict on humanitarian grounds, but overlook the same premise when the government wants to grant citizenship to the persecuted non-Muslim minorities, who fled from bordering Islamic countries of India.
This opposition to Citizenship Amendment Act is reflective of their pan-Islamic mentality, which does not believe in nationhood or any national boundary for Muslims.
The pan-Islamic mentality in India finds its origins during Third Battle of Panipat, which was fought between Marathas and Afghan king Ahmad Shah Abdali, in 1761.
Abdali was invited by Islamic scholar Shah Wali Ullah to attack the Maratha in Third Battle of Panipat and advised his collaborator Najib al Dawla to launch jehad against Jats.
Shah Wali Ullah was a Muslim thinker of 18th century whose teachings revolved around Indian Muslims' inner spirit for re-establishment of Islamic political authority in the country.
In event of the declining glory of Mogul Empire and resurgence of Marathas, Jats and Sikhs in Muslim-dominated India, Shah Wali Ullah decided to re-evaluate the Muslim dilemma.
His movement for Islamic revivalism backed by the ideology of Pan-Islamism was for the political unity of Indian Muslims. Therefore, Shah Wali Ullah wrote a letter to Abdali, inviting Abdali to attack Marathas.
He wrote: "All control of power is with the Hindus because they are the only people who are industrious and adaptable. Riches and prosperity are theirs, while Muslims have nothing but poverty and misery. At this juncture you are the only person, who has the initiative, the foresight, the power and capability to defeat the enemy and free the Muslims from the clutches of the infidels. God forbid if their domination continues, Muslims will even forget Islam and become indistinguishable from the non-Muslims." (Dr Sayed Riaz Ahmad in his book 'Maulana Maududi and Islamic state' - Lahore People's Publishing House, page 15 - 1976).
He further wrote: "We beseech you in the name of Prophet to fight a jihad against the infidels of this region ... The invasion of Nadir shah, who destroyed the Muslims, left the Marathas and Jats secure and prosperous. This resulted in the infidels regaining their strength and in the reduction of Muslim leaders of Delhi to mere puppets" (Shah Wali Allah and his times by Saiyid Athar Abbas Rizvi, page page 305).
Emphasising dominant role of Muslim rulers even in a multi-religious society, Shah Wali Ullah said, "Oh Kings! Mala ala urges you to draw your swords and not put them back in their sheaths again until Allah has separated the Muslims from the polytheists and the rebelious Kifirs and the sinners are made absolutely feeble and helpless" (Ibid. page 299)
This was the first time in the history of India that a Islamic scholar invited a foreign king to attack India on the basis of religion. Prior to this, all the invasions in India had political objectives.
This was contrary to Mogul emperor Akbar's 'conciliatory' policies in the governance of multi-religious and multi-ethnic Indian society.
Shah Wali Ullah also invited Abdali to attack Shias inhabiting India. He laid stress on adherence to "the orthodox religious principles of Sunnism" he was against seeking any cooperation from Hindus or even Shi'is (Shah Wali Allah and his Time by Saiyid Athar Abbas Rizvi, 1980, page 394).
Pan-Islamic Mentality
The left-liberal cabal's protests against CAA justifies their pan-Islamic mentality, which opposes giving a dignified lives to the persecuted Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, Parsees, Christians and Sikhs, but wants illegal immigrants like Rohingyas, who have committed genocide of the Hindus and Buddhists in Myanmar.
The CAA pours water on to this pan-Islamic contours of the left-liberals and therefore, they are agitated and creating a false Hindu Rashtra naration.
Think of this cabal - intellectuals, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mamta Banerjee, Lalu Yadav, Stalin, Mayawati - taste power, there will be suppression of Hindu voice, as it had been under Congress and parties, which have been playing appeasement politics.
The choice is yours. Whether, you are with the persecutors or persecuted.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi called the day of passage of CAB by the Parliament as a dark day in the Constitutional history of India.
Okay.
If facilitating the persecuted minorities from Islamic countries - Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh - to lead a dignified lives is dark day, then it is an absurd comment, because the Citizenship Amendment Bill is nothing to do with Indian Muslims.
The Bill is all about giving citizenship to the refugees, not taking away citizenship of Indians, including Muslims.
The truth, however, is Rajiv Gandhi government's denial of giving maintenance to a divorced woman by passing the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Divorce) Act, in contradiction to the Supreme Court verdict, was the darkest day in the annals of Indian Constitution.
Judicial Blackmail
Never before in the history of Parliamentary debate, a MP had questioned the authority of the house in making laws, but Chidambaram, an advocate himself, broke all parliamentary decency to do it.
"This (bill) is a slap on the face of Parliament. Parliamentarians are being asked to do something unconstitutional and then the baby is passed on to the judiciary and in the judiciary, lawyers and judges will decide what you have done is constitutional or not. Fortunately, we have three organs of the state. The executive is complicit. The legislature is invited to collaborate . Hopefully, the judiciary will strike it down and will save India and idea of India."
This, actually, is the most shameful of statements in the august house as it undermines the power of the Parliamentarians, who have all the authority to make laws, including granting citizenship to persecuted minorities of the three bordering Islamic states to India.
If these honorable members are bent on undermining their powers, then they should not be in the business of legislating, better they resign as members of the Parliament.
The Real Idea Of India
Opposition parties, who play vote-bank politics, have differing stands on the same issue, when they are in power and in opposition.
Today, they are opposing to grant citizenship to persecuted minorities, but had raised a mayhem on the same issue in the past.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, during the UPA tenure, had shot of a letter to then home minister Chidambaram asking for facilitating Hindu and Sikh migrants from Pakistan.
As many as 13,000 persecuted minority people were given shelter in Rajasthan bordering Pakistan.
Tarun Gogoi-led government in Assam had sought citizenship for persecuted Hindu Bengalis, Buddhists who migrated from Bangladesh in 2012, when both centre and state were ruled by Congress.
Gogoi had submitted a memorandum to Prime Manmohan Singh on April 20, 2012, seeking citizenship to religious minorities, who had to flee due to discrimination and religious persecution at the time of partition.
On December 18, 2003, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was then leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, had raised the issue in Rajya Sabha to grant citizenship to Hindus from Bangladesh, who had taken refuge in India because of persecution.
In 2005, TMC MP Mamata Banerjee, had created a ruckus in Lok Sabha over the issue of illegal infiltrators in West Bengal.
Raising the issue, she had said, "The infiltration in Bengal has become a disaster now ... I have both the Bangladeshi and Indian voters list. This is a very serious matter. I would like to know when would it be discussed in the House?"
These same leaders also are contending that CAB is against idea of India dreamt by Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
But, the reality is different. Gandhiji, in 1947, had stressed on the need to grant proper rights to minorities in Pakistan.
In a prayer meeting on September 26, he had openly declared that the Hindus and the Sikhs staying in Pakistan, can come to India by all means, if, they do not wish to continue there. In that case, it is the first duty of the Indian government to give them jobs and make their lives comfortable.
On November 25 same year, the Congress Working Committee had passed a resolution urging citizenship for refugees from Pakistan.
Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, had declared in the oath-taking ceremony that India is anxious to rehabilitate displaced persons who have suffered and still suffering great hardships and privations.
Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had declared on January 12, 1950 in Kolkata - "Those who are our flesh and blood, who fought by our side in the freedom struggle cannot suddenly become foreigners to us because they are on the other side of line. There are people in South Africa, people of Indian origin but with African citizenship, whom we still try to help. If they have claim on us, surely, those in that part of Bengal too have a claim."
The real idea of India, in fact is reflected in the inclusive stand of these leaders.
Lunatic Stand
Actor Naseeruddin Shah and left-liberal cabal, in December last, had said India is unsafe for Muslims living in India. So, in that case, it should not be advisable for them to push for the entry of Muslims in India.
They must either tell the nation, that India is a safe country for Muslims, or unsafe, because they cannot have two differing opinions about India at the same time.
The confusion over Citizenship (Amendment) Bill is due to the poor communication and marketing of the proposed legislation.
The Narendra Modi government should have promoted the proposed legislation as Citizenship Granting Bill instead of Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, which could have denied an opportunity for the left-liberal cabal to commit mischief of making Muslims lose their citizenship.
In fact, this has been the problem of Modi government that it lacks the ability to communicate complex and contentious issues in unclear terms. Perhaps, Amit Shah, who is carrying the burden of passing explosive bills in future, perhaps can take a cue from the Americans, who take extreme care to promote contentious issues in clear and lucid terms.
CAB Explained
CAB aims to grant citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsees and Christians, who were forced to take refuge in India because of religious persecution or fear of persecution in three countries bordering India, namely Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
These persecuted minorities will be granted citizenship after going through a naturalization process.
One of the criteria of naturalization is that the concerned person has to live in India or work in the Central Government for 11 years. So, it reduces this period to six years for Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, but still have to go through the process of naturalization.
CAB Controversy Explained
The controversy over this bill mainly is around the exclusion of persecuted Muslims from being granted citizenship in India. The left-liberal cabal, ably supported by the Lutyens media, are labeling it as unconstitutional and anti-secular.
Actually, this bill is more about humane values than secular values. Anyway, the bill proposes to give citizenship to the persecuted, not persecutors.
Of course, Ahmadiyyas and Shias are persecuted in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, but at one point of time in history had waged a war against India. In fact, they led the movement for establishment of Pakistan.
They had fought for Pakistan against India during the first war for Kashmir in 1947-48 and influenced the Kashmiri Muslim identity in 20th century.
There also is no reason for Rohingyas, Bengali-speaking people from Myanmar, to be given citizenship because they do not have anything to with India. They slip into India through Bangladesh.
They are known for genocide of Hindus in Myanmar.
If any country, which can give shelter to these people, is Bangladesh. But the government there, is reluctant to take them back as they are security threat to the nation. They ran out of Myanmar for their alleged terrorist activities.
Shias, if given a chance, would prefer to go to Iran, instead of coming to India.
So, there is a strange belief that any persecuted person anywhere is eligible for citizenship in India. This could have been possible in olden days when India was prosperous, but India cannot afford to be magnanimous, because it is facing loads of challenges in making lives of its citizens better.
Some of these persecuted Muslims in these bordering countries can seek citizenship in any of the Islamic country, but Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Parsees, do not have any country, but India. Where should they go? Should they jump to death in the Bay of Bengal or offer themselves to the swords of persecutors?
The Confused Left-Liberal Cabal
This section of the society are a confused lot and many reasons are attached to it.
One is, they are smitten by secularism bug. They brag about day in and day out, in media, textbooks and on other platforms. In fact, their secularism originates from anti-Church movement, which is directly in contrast to Indian secularism, which is rooted in ancient Indian texts.
Second, this brigade is unbelievably ill-informed in many ways or gives an impression of knowing things in bits and pieces.
For example, the US government under Donald Trump had declared giving shelter to the persecuted Christian refugees in various countries, especially Islamic nations. He, in fact, is setting right the wrongs committed by the Americans in the past. In many ways, the US has been inimical to refugees.
American history is full of instances where they had denied refuge to other nationals. One such incident is, when a ship full of Jews was sent back to Germany to face certain death in Nazi camps in 1940.
Such being the situation, the left-liberal cabal has solicited United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) to stymie the passing of CAB by the Indian Parliament and pressure Trump administration to impose sanctions on Home Minister Amit Shah.
This attempt is simply laughable because this unscrupulous agency does not have any locus standi to dictate terms to sovereign republics like India and get away with it. They have been silent over American dilly-dallying with Asians on giving citizenship to Asians in the past.
So, the Americans are guilty of excluding people from citizenship. In contrast, CAB is a piece of legislation, which includes people, who are persistently persecuted in their home countries.
Creating Fear Perception
Despite getting shock of their lives, the left-liberal cabal has not yet given up. They are creating a perception that the supreme court would strike down CAB.
They are running around quoting the Constitution saying that Article 14 guarantees equality, which is laughable on two fronts. Article 14 guarantees equality to citizens, but does not say anything about non-citizens.
CAB is a one-time measure to grant citizenship to the persecuted minorities in three bordering countries, which does not mean that other communities or people will not be naturalized at all.
Muslims, in this case, can get citizenship as per the rules subjected to general asylum process. Hence, there is no violation of Article 14 here.
Even Article is applicable only for Indian citizens and not people from other countries. One becomes an Indian citizen after they are naturalized, not before.
Article 21 (right to life) also is applicable to those who live in India, not to them who want to enter India.
So, the left-liberal cabal which is running around holding the Constitution, is just talking out of their hats. They have their own agenda and an axe to grind, but the truth is the bill passed in Parliament is a fait accompli.
Congress and left-liberal cabal are confusing Citizenship Amendment Bill with National Register of Citizens.
In reality, however, they are vastly different.
CAB seeks to grant citizenship to the persecuted minorities, except Muslims, fleeing from Islamic states of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The Bill aims to protect these persecuted minorities from proceedings against them in the claim of illegal migration.
People who have entered India on or before December 31, 2014 are eligible of citizenship, as per the proposed changes while the current law makes it mandatory for people to have resided for a minimum of 11 years in the country to be eligible for citizenship.
NRC, on the other hand, aims to remove illegal immigrants including Rohingyas from India.
Under proposed NRC provisions, immigrants will be granted citizenship if they prove that either they or their ancestors were in India on or before March 24, 1971, the eve of the Bangladesh War.
Needless Protests In Assam, Tripura
Despite these stark differences, the opposition parties, especially Congress and the left-liberal cabal are creating division in the society by arguing that CAB is nothing more than an exercise to reduce Indian Muslims to second class citizens.
The lie-campaign of left-liberal cabal is highlighting protests as though the entire Northeastern states of Assam and Tripura are up in arms against CAB.
The truth, however, is that only the non-tribal areas are protesting, which is needless because, Amit Shah, on the floor of Lok Sabha, has assured to deport illegal immigrants from India with the help of NRC. The citizens of non-tribal areas of Assam and Tripura are afraid that it would benefit a large number of "illegal" immigrants, mainly from Bangladesh.
Lies And Truth
One of the worst propaganda spread by left-liberal cabal is that CAB is anti-Muslims. The bill, in fact, seeks to grant citizenship to persecuted minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Persecuted Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Sikhs, Parsi or Christian communities who fled Pakistan and living in India before 2014, will be given citizenship after the amendment is passed.
No Indian citizen will be asked to produce any document to prove citizenship after the CAB is passed, it is just false propaganda being spread by some people.
Another lie the cabal spreading is Muslims from other countries will not be granted citizenship under CAB provisions. The fact of the matter, however, is Muslims from anywhere in the world can seek citizenship under existing laws. They can apply for Indian citizenship under section 6 of the Citizenship Act, which deals with citizenship by naturalization.
Moreover, Muslims from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh can be granted Indian citizenship under special circumstances just as India had granted citizenship to Ugandan Indians and Sri Lanka Tamils. They can also get the citizenship under the provisions of naturalisation law.
Also, CAB does not deal with deportation of illegal Muslim immigrants as it is subject matter of another law, the Foreigners Act.
The left-liberal cabal are also questioning non-inclusion of Shias, Ahmediyyas, Balochs and Rohingyas, who have been persecuted in these three countries, in CAB. They cannot be included, because, they belong to the major community there, as the bill is specifically drafted for religious minorities in those countries.
If any Muslim is being persecuted in these Islamic countries for practising their version of Islam, they can apply for asylum in India, as Tibetans did, as also large number of people from Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda.
Moreover, Balochs and Rohingyas are ethnic groups, opposed to religious.
Baloachs are fighting for a seperate nation and do want to migrate to other countries. Rohingya Muslims, on the other hand, are not persecuted community. They fled Myanmar due to military retaliatiation after they had attacked Buddhists and Hindus, there.
Moreover, some Rohingyas are conducting terror activities in Myanmar for a long time and hence, when they tried entering Thailand, Myanmar and Bangladesh, they were restricted. Therefore, Rohingyas are a potential security threat to India.
The resounding victory of BJP in Karnataka bypolls, winning 12 out of 15 assembly seats, has sent shivers down into the sinews of Shiv Sena.
Why?
Because, the Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister is wary of people rejecting his party just as the people rejected the failed Congress-JDS alliance partners in Karnataka.
Though the mandate was in favor of BJP, which had emerged as the single largest party in Karnataka, Congress and JDS, which fought elections each other, formed the government after BS Yedyiyurappa resigned as chief minister without facing trust vote last year.
Similar was the case in Maharashtra too. People had given mandate to BJP-Sena combine, but due to lust for chief minister's seat, Uddhav Thackeray ditched its old ally to join hands with NCP and Congress to form the government.
Uddhav Thackeray fulfilled his dream, but Karnataka bypoll result has perceptibly shaken Sena to its roots, which is reflected in its stand on Citizenship Amendment Bill, which was tabled in Lok Sabha today.
Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that the party had always opposed infiltration and supported the bill introduced by Home Minister Amit Shah, but demanded that the refugees should not be given voting rights for at least 25 years.
Sena Wary Of Its Future
Uddhav Thackeray is wary of the same fate that former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy met after his party drew a blank in the bypolls.
JDS lost in its Vokkaliga-dominant bastions in Old Mysuru region and failed to retain three seats that fell vacant after three of its rebel MLAs - AH Vishwanath (Hunsur), Narayana Gowda (KR Pet) and K Gopalaiah (Mahalakshmi Layout) - resigned along with 14 Congress MLAs, leading to fall of Kumaraswamy's government.
Political pundits are predicting the of fall Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi anytime soon, as it is yet to allot ministerial portfolios, due to the rift between the coalition partners to get lucrative portfolios.
They are also expecting the wedge between alliance partners to widen after Sena's support to Citizenship Bill, which will be seen as violation its Common Minimum Programme, which states that the alliance partners are committed to uphold the secular values enshrined in the Constitution.
Message For Parties
The result of Karnataka bypolls has also sent a very strong message.
The message is that parties should not subvert people's mandate and stab it in the back. If they indulge in subversion, people would punish them as they did to Kumaraswamy and Siddaramaiah in Karnataka today.
The moment the union cabinet approved the draft law seeking to grant citizenship to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, a big controversy erupted after the entire left-liberal cabal rose against it.
Some of them are saying that it is an attempt by Narendra Modi government to establish a de facto Hindu Rashtra and some others are arguing that it is against secularism.
And few others like Congress leader Shashi Tharoor are saying that the proposed bill is unconstitutional and violation of Idea of India.
Achcha ... Tharoor is claiming to be the sole owner of Idea of India.
Purpose For Reintroducing Citizenship Amendment Bill
It is very important to understand the import behind reintroducing the bill in Parliament?
Is it against secularism or violating the India of India? Such queries needs to be answered.
The bill seeks to provide citizenship to the persecuted minorities - Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, Jains, and Christians - from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
The government feels that, the manner in which, the homes and worship places of the minorities living in these Islamic countries, are being destroyed; their daughters kidnapped and married off; restrained from offering prayers and celebrating religious festivals and subjected to forced conversion, should be given refuge in India.
Because, there has been a tremendous growth of Islamic radicalism in these countries in the last ten years, which has resulted in more number of persecutions against minorities.
As many as 408 Hindu temples, out of 428 in Pakistan at the time of Partition, have been turned into toy stores, restaurants, government offices and schools after 1990, says a survey held by All-Pakistan Hindu Rights Movement.
Only 11 temples in Sindh, four in Punjab, three in Balochistan and two in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are operational in 2019, as per Pakistan government estimates. Abduction of Hindu and Sikh girls is a business in Pakistan.
So, in the face of persecutions, shouldn't India give refuge to minority communities living in Pakistan? Is this not a question of humanity? Should we shut the doors on these helpless people?
Reason For Excluding Muslims
Who are the people opposing the bill? These are the very people who were advocating, giving refuge to Rohingya Muslims in India. But, when the question of giving refuge to Hindus came up, they have dumped humanism as trash.
These also are the same people who are raising doubts on the intention of the government for excluding Muslims from getting shelter in India.
The reason for excluding Muslims, under the provisions of the amendment bill, is - any atrocity committed on Muslims in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh cannot be treated as religious persecution, because these countries are theocratic states.
The left-liberal cabal also are arguing that the exclusion of Muslims is against the Constitution and secularism.
Is secularism bigger than humanism? Have they forgotten the contribution of Pandit Nehru against apartheid in South Africa on humanitarian grounds? Isn't it humanism if the government is giving refuge to Hindus in India?
If they really are champions of secularism, shouldn't they raise the issue of minority persecutions in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh with great vigor to bring these countries to the knees at international fora? How many times, they have raised the issue at United Nations? Almost zero.
In fact, they are wary of their pride.
And, political parties like Congress, TMC, RJD SP, BSP and others, are worried about losing their votebank, if the bill becomes a law, which would derecognise citizenship of illegal immigrants in India.
It is time to salute the Hyderabad police because they have achieved such a feat that has brought solace to agitated minds of the people.
What did they do?
They succeeded in stopping the accused from escaping the clutches of law before gunning them down.
People celebrated, showered flowers on the police, distributed sweets and appeared on television saying this is cent per cent justice and the suspects deserved such a death.
Moreover, parents of Disha expressed gratitude towards police for encountering the suspects.
The encounter carried out by Cyberabad Commissioner VC Sajjanar's team has walked into the pages of history.
The police had arrested four accused on November 29, within 36 hours of committing the rape and murder. They were produced before a magistrate on November 30 and were remanded to 14-day judicial custody on the same evening.
On November 6, the four accused were killed when they were taken to Chatanpally to recover the phone, wallet and power bank of Disha. Her burnt body was found close to the spot of the reported encounter near the underpass of Shadnagar Outer Ring Road on November 27.
First Main Argument
AS soon as news of the encounter spread across India, the left-liberal cabal and urban naxals, who fight for human rights of criminals and terrorists, were shaken to the roots.
They started to use the old jargons of cold-blooded murder, an extra-judicial and uncivilized killing of the accused.
Wow! Just few days before the encounter, they were demanding speedy justice for Disha's family. When justice has been served, they are raising questions on the genuineness of the encounter.
They are asking what was the necessity for the police to take the suspects at the crime scene at 3 am in the morning?
This simply is an abnormal question. It is not wise to take the accused to the crime spot in day time when there was a growing outrage mounting across India over the incident. Thousands were protesting across India and family members turning away visiting politicians and police officials, demanding action instead.
Under these circumstances, there could have been breakdown of law and order. Few rubble-rousers, among the public, could have created a chaos and attacked the police or the accused. The attack on Rajesh Talwar, father of murdered teenager Aarushi Talwar, inside Ghaziabad court premises, is still fresh in our mind. Hence, this argument is useless and weak. Second Main Argument
Around 2 am in the morning, the police left for the crime scene and reached the site where the victim was burnt around 3 am. There, the police asked the accused the whereabouts of Disha's mobile phone and other objects. Around 3.15 am, the police recovered the mobile phone and other objects. What this means?
This means that the accused were guilty of the crime because they exactly showed the police where the mobile phone and other objects were. If they were not accused persons, they would not have shown the exact site where the material were abandoned or buried?
Third Main Argument
After recovering the objects, the accused indulged in arguments with police and attempted to flee before creating a scene. They snatched two guns from policemen and pelted stones at them, due to which two policemen received serious head injuries.
In retaliation, the police resorted to firing from a distance of 50 meters surrounded by bushes and trees in pitch darkness for 10 to 15 minutes. In the cross-fire, the accused were gunned down.
Reacting to it, CPI leader D Raja's wife questioned the police for not firing on the lower part of accused bodies to fell them and avoid their abscondence.
Wow, what an argument!
Is it possible for the police to see the parts of the bodies of the fleeing persons in pitch darkness?
If she is a stickler to the police manuals for using firearm, isn't it her duty to wait for the report of the investigating team?
Raising such arguments without any clinching facts, is not good for society. If she is an activist, then she should also have the courtesy to respect the sentiments of the people.
Fourth Main Argument
Another gentleman is John Dayal, who is famous for his anti-India stance. He said the encounter is state-sponsored murder. If he has clinching facts to establish the proof of state-sponsored murder, he should lay it before the people.
Without any such facts laid in public, it is mere anti-state narrative with a nefarious agenda.
Amidst all this, a very good statement came from Nirbhaya's mother, who expressed her frustration of not getting justice even after the crime was committed seven years back. This delay in justice, is but natural for the people to vent their anger against the system and clamor for speedy justice.
And if Hyderabad encounter happens under these circumstances, people have no other choice, but to celebrate and call it a divine justice.
These human right activists and left-liberal cabal should understand rape is not only murder of the body, but also soul.
If there is harsher punishments than capital punishment, it must be awarded, without any delay. Period.
At times, Manmohan Singh shoots a noiseless rocket, which results into a noisy political storm.
He said, the Sikh riots of 1984 could have been avoided, if PV Narasimha Rao, the then home minister, had heeded the advice of former prime minister IK Gujral's request to call the army at the earliest.
Manmohan's Purpose
What is the purpose of Manmohan Singh to speak up after three decades of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's assassination by her Sikh bodyguards?
Actually, he wants to shift the blame of Indira Gandhi's assassination on the shoulders of late Narasimha Rao, absolving Rajiv Gandhi's alleged justification of riots during his infamous rally by saying 'big tree falls, the earth shakes.'
There are few technical issues to be dealt with. Can a home minister call army?
No. The army does not work under the home ministry, but functions under the defence ministry. However, the decision to press army services for civil purposes, permission is granted by the cabinet headed by prime minister.
The then prime minister was Rajiv Gandhi.
So, to tell that because of the mistake of Narasimha Rao, the Sikhs were killed, is not only wrong, but also is the language of the slaves of Gandhi family.
Why did Manmohan Singh make such a statement? To understand this, one must recall an incident, which the Left media does not talk about it.
Probably, they would not do so, especially after Narendra Modi's government taking charge since 2014, as they are preoccupied with Manmohan Singh, praising him as a "good" economist and "good" administrator.
I would like to share an incident about Manmohan Singh which you might not have heard before.
Manmohan Singh, basically is a careerist. He neither contested nor won any elections. And the biggest irony is, his nomination for Rajya Sabha from Assam became a big controversy, after the rival parties labeled him an outsider. Also, not once did he visit Assam to cast his vote in prime minister's capacity.
Untold Story
Earlier, he was the economic advisor to Prime Minister Chandrashekhar.
After Chandrashekhar's government fell after Congress party withdrew its support to it, the cabinet ministers were discussing about winning the elections, Manmohan Singh, in the corner of the room, was sitting worrying about his future.
Out of concern, Chandrasekhar asked what is bothering him, Manmohan Singh said he was worried about his career, at a gathering where the attendees were discussing politics.
He requested Chandrashekhar to get him appointed as UGC chairman. At first he denied, but took the risk of getting Manmohan Singh appointed in the capacity of caretaker prime minister, which is an unethical practice.
Not only did he became an accidental prime minister, but also an accidental finance minister in Narasimha Rao's government.
Manmohan Singh was not the first choice to be the Finance Minister. Narasimha Rao had first offered the job to economist and Manmohan Singh's friend Dr IG Patel, who could not take up the job.
Later, with Sonia Gandhi's blessings, he was made the prime minister, so that she can run the country from behind the scenes.
Therefore, time and again, Manmohan Singh pays off his indebtedness to Gandhi family. Latest being - his statement absolving Rajiv Gandhi’s alleged justification of Sikh riots and putting the entire blame on Narasimha Rao, who is dead.
Therefore, he must be asked why Rajiv Gandhi did not call army to stop Sikh killings?
Whoever orchestrated the killings were gifted with high-profile tasks, either in the government or party.
We must also ask Narendra Modi and Amit Shah - why shouldn't action taken against Manmohan Singh for his unlawful approvals for 2G and coal mines to companies, who looted and cheated India.
He should have been in jail like Chidamabaram, but because of the bonhomie and understading between politicians.
Also, the Supreme Court should be questioned why shouldn't they pull up past and present governments for having failed to punish Manmohan Singh.
Lakhs of efforts can be made to wash this black spot on the Congress' face, but will not succeed in efacing the role of Gandhi family's hand in killing Sikhs.
And also ... Manmohan Singh wouldn't succeed in being an accidental slave of the Gandhis.
What precisely were former NDTV journalist Barkha Dutt and Vir Sanghvi accused of?
They were accused of lobbying for A Raja through Niira Radia to install him as telecom minister, who later committed biggest frauds in Indian political history by unlawfully selling mobile-phone spectrum that resulted in India losing up to $40 billion.
Such lobbying is dangerous for any country's economy.
Just three days back, Rahul Bajaj, an industrialist whose forefathers had helped Congress with huge donations since freedom struggle, stirred a hornets nest by complaining to Amit Shah that there is a fear perception in India, which became a major headline for media.
However, the media, surprisingly, did not publish a word about an interesting statement which Rahul Bajaj made at the ET Awards ceremony.
What was that statement?
Read this: "Without convicting anybody, 100 days people are put in jail. I am not supporting anybody. I don't even know the person (Chidambaram), except hello, hello. In my last 40-50 years, Piyush (Goyal) will know that well. I haven't met any minister in his office or home in the last 40-50 years. I did not ask anything ..." Rahul Bajaj said.
This remark is nothing less than political at an apolitical event. Rajiv Bajaj was right on the dot when he raised doubts if it was proper platform for his father to have raised such senstive issues.
Bajaj's Fear
What Rahul Bajaj is afraid of? Why did he lobby for Chidambaram at the awards event, when the whole world knows about his corruption?
Is he afraid that opening of Chidambaram's box of secrets could expose the corporate connections with the jailed leader?
Many are aware of Chidambaram and many industrialists indulgence in various scams, beginning from Harshad Mehta scam.
Or is he afraid of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's action against sugar mills owned by his family, which haven't yet paid Rs 10,000 crore dues to sugarcane farmers?
In all of UP, the Bajaj family owns 14 sugar mills.
The local media has been raising the issue for years. Even the Parliament has debated it after Sharad Pawar took up the matter.
By raising the ghost of fear factor and backing Chidambaram in the open, isn't Rahul Bajaj wanting a 2G and coal scam era, so that the corporate can loot and cheat, if lucky, with the blessings of a la corrupt Congress government at the centre?
Nathuram Godse was a patriot and will remain as ever.
And, if someone asks me, was Godse wrong in killing Gandhiji?
I would say, yes.
If someone asks me what punishment should have been given to Godse?
Hang him to death, would be my retort.
But, this does not mean that Godse was a terrorist or a traitor. I would never call him so.
If a very honest man, due to some circumstances, steals gold, most of us would say, "Oh, what happened. He is a very honest man, but why did he steal? What are the reasons?"
So, an honest man's tag always remains with him, even though he had indulged in stealing.
If an army officer, who is awarded for bravery, shoots down somebody due to some reasons, we don't deny his bravery as a military officer.
So, these two are different aspects.
Who was Godse?
History books, written by Left intellectuals, say that he was a lunatic Chitpavan Brahmin, who killed Gandhiji.
In fact, he was an educated man and a freedom fighter and patriot. First, he was member of RSS and then he joined Abhinav Bharat.
He was also editor of Dainik Agrani, a daily newspaper. His editorials were staunchly opposed to Gandhiji and his politics of ahimsa, however, he had deep respect for the Father of the Nation as a leader.
His grouse against Gandhiji should be viewed in a time when history witnessed immense bloodshed, millions of Hindus were slaughtered and millions of others were displaced.
For this, he held Gandhiji responsible and thus, set out to eliminate him. Therefore, can a grudge against a particular individual, be called an act of treason?
Surely, Gandhiji is not a nation in himself. So, it would be an absurdity to call him a traitor.
Who is called a traitor? What are the parameters for declaring a person guilty of treason?
Treason is criminal disloyalty to the state. It is a crime that covers participating in a war against one's native country, attempting to overthrow its government, spying on its military, its diplomats, or its secret services for a hostile and foreign power, or attempting to kill its head of state.
Justice G D Khosla, who pronounced death sentence to Godse, did not charge him with criminal disloyalty to the state, but declared him to be an assassin.
Ironically, leaders like Rahul Gandhi and others label Godse as traitors, but they extend support to Tukde Tukde gang who raise anti-India slogans at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.
They also support Maoists detained in Bhima-Koregaon case, who are charged of plotting assassination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to destabilize democracy and wage war against Indian citizens.
Therefore, I ask questions to liberal and left cabal, isn't it a treason, if the action is centered around supporting anti-India tukde tukde gang? Isn't it a treason if people demand the release of persons who plotted to kill the head of the state?
We all know answers to these questions, don't we?
The purpose of these intelligentsia is not vilification of Godse, but to demonize Hindus by re-establishing "Hindu terror" slogan, which was given by Congress leaders Sushilkumar Shinde and Digvijaya Singh.
The aim here is to silence the Hindu voice by character assassination of people who speak in the interest of Hindus.
These were the same attempts being made by the Congress leaders then, that provoked Godse to take the extreme step.
Consider to be a good fortune that nobody has acted like Godse, ever since Gandhiji's assassination, but if relentless onslaught on Hindus and Hinduism continues, who knows another "lunatic" person could repeat the same mistake as Godse did on January 30, 1948.
The Lutyens media latched on to industrialist Rahul Bajaj's comments that an atmosphere of fear, people are afraid to criticize the government and do not have the confidence that the government will appreciate.
"During UPA-II, we could abuse anyone. You are doing good work, but if we want to openly criticize you, there is no confidence you will appreciate that. I may be wrong but everyone feels that," he said at an Economic Times award function in Mumbai on November 30.
The media, however, missed on the industrialist praising the good work of Narendra Modi government.
Leave it at that.
This is not the first time Rahul Bajaj has spoken his mind against the policies of the central government in the past as well. But, there is a stark difference between what he had said during UPA government and now when NDA is at the helm of affairs.
During UPA II, many industrialists, including Rahul Bajaj, had been vocal against Manmohan Singh led UPA government over policy paralysis.
They criticized the government for soft-peddling on reforms and putting key policy issues on the buckburner.
They also alleged that the political logjam over the issue of corruption led to legislative backlog and key bills have been pending in parliament, adding frustration of investors. They said lack of reforms would hurt growth and emerge as an obstacle to India's ambitions to emerge as a global power.
They also gave detailed suggestions to tackle the problem of policy paralysis.
Rahul Bajaj, amidst the heavy dose of Lutyens media crap, is well within his rights to raise the ghost of fear among people, should have listed at least ten points, indicating the wrongs in the policies of Modi government, and also suggested solutions to the problems, if any.
The fact that he did not list out the problems and suggestions, his remarks could well be taken as his own impressions and perception of Modi government, which on gaining traction, could hurt national interest.
Amit Shah's Reply
IF one has the courtesy to hear the pros and cons of Rahul Bajaj's remarks, one should equally sanctify Amit Shah's reply. He said since Rahul Bajaj frankly put his views before him, it in itself indicates that the fear factor is a mere perception created by the media.
"About fear," Amit Shah said, "I can say that nobody needs to be afraid. A lot of newspapers have written a lot of things about Narendra Modi ji and our government. They are still writing. If someone has been written about (and criticized) the most, that's us.
"But I would like to say that there is no need for anybody to fear … No one wants to scare … and we have done nothing to be concerned about any criticism … The government has been run in the most transparent way and we have no fear of any kind of opposition, and if anyone does criticise, we will look at the merit of the same and make efforts to improve ourselves," he added.
People, including other industrialists gathered there including Mukesh Ambani, would have appreciated Rahul Bajaj if he could have elaborated on the good work done Modi government, that he mentioned in his comments.
He could have mentioned about the reason for the current situation, which is due to the regressive tax measures like the minimum alternate tax and dividend distribution tax taken during the UPA tenure.
He could have talked about the current crisis in bank, which is because of UPA's policy paralysis, and also mentioned about demonetization and GST, which formalized the economy.
Job-wise, more than seven million jobs were formalized between 2015 and 2018. Cumulatively over 28 per cent of 7.06 million jobs were formalized in between these four years due to these two reforms.
Also, a mention about comparative economy numbers during UPA with NDA rules, could have been appreciated. The former had registered 6.4 per cent real GDP growth at the end of 2014 and it averaged 7.5 per cent between 2014-2019.
The headline inflation had gone from 10.3 per cent in 2013-14 to 4.5 per cent in 2018-19, besides core inflation and food inflation has come down from 9.4 per cent and 11.2 per cent from UPA 2 to 5.11 per cent and 3.5 per cent respectively in NDA 1.
FDI inflow also had increased, up USD 283.9 billion in 2019 from USD 189.5 billion in 2014. Moreover, the foreign exchange reserves went up from USD 304.2 billion at end of 2009-14 to USD 412.9 billion at end of 2014-2019.
Slowdown
OF COURSE, there is a slowdown, and it needs to be addressed to reach the target of five trillion dollar economy by 2024 set by Modi government. Amit Shah is confident of meeting the target just as his government did in turning a weak economy during UPA rule into one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
However, the roadmap to achieve this goal is not devoid of its share of challenges. Experts say the size of 2024 economy could exceed USD 4.7 trillion, if real GDP grows at 7.6 per cent per year, but the currency exchange rate in 2024 stays at the levels of Rs 75 per USD.
The key to achieving 5 trillion dollars target is to increase exports, reduce the cost of capital and bring flexible labour laws. The government has taken some measures in this regard, more action on economic reforms is still required, experts say.
Instead of giving some such suggestions, hasn't Rahul Bajaj invoked failed narrative of Rahul Gandhi - the lines of intolerance and fear factor?
If someone denies, may be he is hooked on to Lutyens media dot com. Period ...
Nikhil Wagle, a compulsive hatemonger and fake news promoter, once again resorted to fomenting caste tensions in Maharashtra.
Wagle claimed Brahmins were unhappy with Devendra Fadnavis' exit as chief minister and Bahujans in rural areas are very happy with his removal from power.
These remarks were made on his twitter handle and must be looked from the perspective of the latest update on Maharashtra politics.
IANS, a news wire, reported the backdoor story of NCP chief Sharad Pawar's plans to form the government by joining hands with BJP.
The report claimed that Pawar had placed two conditions before the saffron party for the formation of the government.
First of his demand was to make his daughter and MP Supriya Sule agriculture minister, and second, he wanted replacement of Devendra Fadnavis as chief minister.
However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned down both the demands.
Quoting sources, IANS reported that BJP was firm on not to concede on replacing chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for the party had garnered votes on his taint-less image of a chief minister.
IANS also reported that the BJP rejected the other demand because it would have forced BJP to give railway ministry to JDU, which it did not want to lose in addition to agriculture.
More than this, according to my analysis, BJP must have rejected this demand after considering the track record of Pawar as agriculture and civil supplies minister at the centre.
He has been accused for encouraging hoarding of onion and sugar in collusion with retailers to control the prices of these stocks to arm twist his political rivals and in the process earn a quick buck.
During UPA rule, Pawar had annoyed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over rising onion prices which coincided with the Congress plenary. The PMO had to give direct orders to top officials of civil supplies minister to get cracking.
The then commerce minister Anand Sharma had cited hoarding as one factor behind the jump of onion price, which prompted him to clamp the export ban.
Also finance minister Pranab Mukherjee had alleged mismatch of supply from mandi to consumer outlets.
Therefore, it should not have been lost on BJP the deadly combination of Supriya Sule as agriculture minister and Pawar, who is suspected of controlling the largest wholesale market in the country, would have arm-twisted Narendra Modi government by playing onion and sugar politics.
Modi government has put unprecedented focus on agriculture like improving productivity, safeguarding farmers and augmenting their incomes and improving their overall well-being.
The government has set a target of doubling farm incomes by 2022 by focusing on reforms across agricultural cycle - from seeds and soil to access to markets.
Now, let me come back to Nikhil Wagle's Brahmins' comment. Is it possible that he knew about Pawar's demands and later gave a twist to fit into his fake naration?
I think, those who helped Modi to get past 300-plus seats in Lok Sabha will agree.
The tripartite coalition government headed by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has been stitched, but the distribution of portfolios between parties has become a major bone of contention in Maharashtra.
A group of NCP and Congress state legislatures are seeking deputy chief minister and all-important ministries like finance and home.
There is a rift between the two parties over these important ministries with Sharad Pawar and Prithviraj Chavan eyeing for the post.
Sharad Pawar, at any cost, wants to allocate home portfolio to a party colleague, because he is facing charges of having links with international terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.
He is also facing charges of complicity in shielding the D-Company supremo from arrests and sabotaging the Indian intelligence’s efforts in nabbing the Mumbai 1993 bomb blast accused.
The NCP does not want to concede home ministry, if it does, then Sharad Pawar will become a pawn in the hands of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, which will result in needless tensions between the two parties, leading to collapse of the government.
Thackeray was sworn in as the 18th chief minister of Maharashtra on November 28 after putting an end to the political imbroglio in Maharashtra.
The delay in finalising on deputy chief minister allocation is creating tensions between NCP and Congress. The grand old party, in fact, is perturbed over a group of NCP members clamoring for Ajit Pawar to occupy deputy chief minister's gaddi.
Sources say that the Congress does not want to damage the image of the tripartite coalition government by including Ajit Pawar in the ministry. So also, NCP does not want Congress leader Ashok Chavan to occupy in any ministerial seat as he is facing investigation into Adarsh Scam.
If Ajit Pawar does not get deputy chief minister's post, there are chances of him revolting and destablising the government, as he is enjoying the support of at least 21 NCP MLAs, who can bring down the government, just as the disqualified MLAs of Congress and JDS did in Karnataka a few months back.
Also, the inexperience of Thackeray in governance could give a torrid time for him to keep the flock together as it is not in his genes to coordinate, mediate and manage, people.
Experienced leaders like Jayant Patil, Chhagan Bhujbal, Ajit Pawar, Ashok Chavan and Balasaheb Thorat, may try to dominate over him, brewing tensions between them. Sharad Pawar could fiddle with his ego by calling shots from behind-the-scene in the garb of a de facto head of the government.
Not far behind will be Sonia Gandhi, who has the experience of wielding enormous extra-constitutional powers through National Advisory Committee during a decade's UPA regime at the centre.
So, Thackeray's crown is full of thorns, which can prick to bleed him blue. Period.
Even after several years of this ghastly incident, the debate on Nathuram Godse, the killer of his, does not ebb down.
The debate once again erupted after BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur allegedly referred to Godse as a "deshbhakt" during a debate in the Lok Sabha on November 27 triggering protest by Opposition members.
This is the second time Pragya Thakur has described Godse as a patriot, during 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign, triggering a huge political storm.
Amid opposition protests over Pragya's comments, BJP went on the backfoot and said in Lok Sabha that the party condemns any philosophy which describes Gandhiji's killer as a patriot.
Not satisfied with the response of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the Opposition led by the Congress staged a walkout.
Among the opposition parties, apart from Congress who staged a walkout, were Trinamool Congress, DMK, Left parties, NCP and AIMIM.
Yes, whoever praises Gandhiji's killer should be condemned, but equally should be put to shame, who kill his ideas almost everyday and claim themselves to be intellectuals of highest order.
This should be done because Gandhiji is immortal.
Can any political party in Lok Sabha proudly claim they have tread the path of Gandhiji's ideals? Congress, is the worst political party, that has crushed all his ideals for decades.
Gandhiji had intentions of dissolving Congress after Independence, but has it been implemented? He advocated Truth and non-violence, but any party has tread this path? All of them are immersed in corruption including coal and spectrum allocation scams.
A dumb political leader, who goes about lying on almost all issues, has any right to claim Gandhiji's ideals of Truth and non-violence? Or a leader like Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury can claim his speeches are non-violent as Gandhiji's?
Do the parties also have any right over Gandhiji's legacy, who ignore his ideas about cow protection and economic philosophy, which is an anti-thesis to free economy. Did any Congress man raise voice against P V Narasimha Rao's government for violation before it was implemented?
And, the Left parties, less said the better. They see Gandhiji as an irrelevant historical relic, casteist and racist misogynist, among others. During the freedom struggle, they called him Camprado, meaning a person bought by rich men.
No political party, except BJP, mentions Gandhian socialism in their ideological papers.
What could be more shameful than any acts of Congress governments. The Manmohan Singh government failed to purchase Gandhiji's eyeglasses and some of his other belongings sold for $1.8 million in 2009 US auction. It, instead, took the legal route, despite knowing well that the Indian courts do not have jurisdiction in United States.
Even in 2012, the government did not purchase 29 items of Gandhiji's memorabilia at an auction in UK, instead they were acquired by a prominent businessman Kamal Morarka from Mumbai.
The truth is all parties in the name of Gandhiji play politics, but do not have slightest of inclinations to put to practice his ideals.
Yes, Godse should be condemned for killing Gandhiji, but cannot be called a terrorist, because the Supreme Court had declared him as a killer.
The Left intellectuals and media call Godse terrorist, but speak in support of terrorists like Afzal Guru. They must be exposed.
The dreams of Uddhav Thackeray becoming chief minister has been met, but how long would he remain in that coveted post, is a big question.
Looking at the events happened till the swearing-in ceremony, it appears Uddhav could also meet the same fate as BJP's Devendra Fadnavis.
Fadnavis had created a record by becoming the chief minister with the shortest tenure in Maharashtra. His second stint as chief minister lasted only 80 hours.
This possibility cannot be ruled out, considering the present political situation in the state. After all, who could have imagined the midnight coup of Amit Shah in forming the government with the help of Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar's nephew.
Ajit Pawar attended the swearing-in ceremony yesterday, but there was no smile on his face because he was given to understand that he would be given deputy chief minister's post.
This, however, is not a big deal for NCP because Ajit Pawar has been deputy chief minister in the previous NCP-Congress governments.
Because of his "rebellion" to join hands with Fadnavis to form the government, chances of him becoming deputy chief minister has dimmed.
The Congress, according to sources, are against giving any ministerial berth to Ajit Pawar, because he is facing investigation in irrigation and PMC bank scams, and moreover, they are wary of his rebellious intentions.
Two NCP leaders, Jayant Patil and Chagan Bhujbal, took oath as ministers. The former has the blessings of Sharad Pawar. He was appointed NCP's Legislature Party Leader after Ajit Pawar had joined hands with Fadnavis to become deputy chief minister, which collapsed in 80 hours.
THOUGH Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress successfully cobbled up a government, their unity will be put to test if floor test is sought for in Maharashtra assembly.
Ajit Pawar appears to be unhappy and restless, and could turn tables against triparte government any time, considering the twists and turns Maharashtra has witnessed in the last one month.
The Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi has a total strength of 154 seats in the assembly. When he had joined hands with Fadnavis to form the government, Ajit Pawar had claimed support of 36 NCP MLAs.
According to highly reliable sources, at least 21 NCP MLAs are with Ajit Pawar and are bidding time to strike at an opportune occasion.
Will Ajit Pawar press for floor test again? He can, because he is still unsure of getting deputy chief minister's post.
Here, one should consider the remarks of Fadnavis, when he was asked about the reason for extending support to Ajit Pawar.
He had said he would talk about it at right time.
So, the drama in Maharashtra is not yet over. Keep track of Ajit Pawar's next move.
Many of the people in India are confused over the political drama unfolding in Maharashtra.
How innocent?
They are confused because the wheeler-dealer journalists are not in the picture in the formation of government as we all have been witnessing in the past.
Can anyone forget Radia tape case?
Any how, the only advise I can give to people is watch the Maharashtra politics unfold and enjoy from far.
Let me begin with the latest update.
Many television journalists are explaining the developments from the political angle, but I will try to explain from the legal point of view.
Since I have also covered court proceedings, according to my understanding, the script writer of this political game is NCP's Sharad Pawar.
However, I do not claim I am not infallible. My understanding might go wrong. Let me be humble.
Why do I say the script writer is Sharad Pawar?
The veteran NCP leader has already buried Congress and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. This will be remembered for a very long time.
And, there will be tons of debates in the future claiming that Sharad Pawar was innocent because he was with Sena and Congress till the end.
Let me explain.
First let me tell you what happened in Supreme Court in last two days. It has reserved its verdict for tomorrow. It can only fix the date and timing of floor test in Maharashtra assembly.
One who are vouching for Karnataka type verdict, let me tell them that there is a very big difference between Karnataka and Maharashtra.
One should understand that, in Maharashtra, the government has already been formed after NCP submitted letter of support to BJP. Also, Devendra Fadnavis and NCP's Ajit Pawar have already assumed charges of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
In Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa had approached Karnataka Governor to claim formation of government with BJP MLAs only, not with MLAs belonging to other parties.
Whereas in Maharashtra, both Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar submitted letters to the Governor. Hence, there is a big difference between the two states.
What the tripartite alliance petition says?
The petition challenges the decision of the Governor to invite BJP to form a "minority government" and asserts that they have the numbers to stake claim to form the government.
They also categorically assert that all the MLAs of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress are completely and solidly with the alliance except for Ajit Pawar.
The petitioners also claimed that there is no material available to indicate that Fadnavis had letters of support from 144 MLAs as was claimed further pointing out that the majority mark stands at 145.
They also questioned the timing of administration of oath as early as in the morning and President's rule rescinded from Maharashtra in the wee hours.
The petitioners also alleged that the Governor had acted in a "partisan manner" and "made a mockery of the high office of the Governor".
In fact, the petitioners have further added that the actions of the Governor indicate that he has acted at the behest of a political party, in this case, the BJP.
Therefore, they prayed to the court to quash Governor's order of inviting Fadnavis to form the government as void and initio, illegal, and arbitrary.
They further sought for a direction to be passed by the Court for the Governor to invite the alliance, which has the support of more than 144 MLAs, to form the government.
The objections to the pleas
Firstly, the Supreme Court does not have powers to dismiss any state government. Even in Yeddyurappa case, the Supreme Court had given a ruling on the date and timing of the floor test in Karnataka assembly.
Secondly, the Supreme Court neither has any authority to direct the Governor to invite tripartite alliance to form the government.
Also, the Governor is immune from any court action.
Thirdly, based on the petitioners' plea, the Supreme Court, on November 24, had asked to place before it the letters submitted to Governor by Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar and said a floor test of Fadnavis government was the only issue before it.
Today, the letters were submitted to the Supreme Court, thereby the tripartite alliance plea to quash Fadnavis government is rendered null.
Moreover, Ajit Pawar, in his plea, today claimed that had he acted as the Leader of the NCP and there is nothing to the contrary to show that he was not the NCP leader on November 22.
In other words, Jayant Patil's appointment as NCP Leader after November 22 is unconstitutional. Interestingly, no parties have questioned the veracity of the letters, especially where Ajit Pawar mentions he is the Leader of NCP.
In contrast to BJP-NCP's letters submitted to the Governor, the counsel for NCP, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, withdrew the affidavit claiming that the tripartite alliance has the numbers to form the government.
This only means that the alliance did not have the numbers and hence to avoid contempt of court, Singhvi withdrew the affidavit.
Therefore, Ajit Pawar is NCP leader as per law and hence, he has the power to issue whip to his party legislators during the floor test.
Sharad Pawar's Game
Before the Modi-Shah-Pawar meeting, the NDA government had bestowed Padma Vibushan to the senior NCP leader and Amit Shah, just before the elections, expedited the ED probe against him in PMC bank case, so that the Maratha strongman's politics meanders around BJP.
In the backdrop of the trio's meeting, some questions arise. Why has Sharad Pawar not expelled Ajit Pawar for anti-party activities? In fact, he said he cannot do so because he alone cannot remove him.
Yet another question arises - Why did Ajit Pawar approach Governor to claim stake to form government the same night when he was made NCP Leader? Why not before that? Doesn't it looks like a ploy?
Did Sharad Pawar wait for giving a legal stamp to Ajit Pawar's letter before asking him to approach the Governor?
Has he also scripted a weak petition in Supreme Court?
Looks like, because he is known for scripting deceptive narrations to hurt rival parties all these years.
So, let me summarize the whole script of Sharad Pawar -
1) He made Ajit Pawar the NCP Leader
2) He handed over the letter of support to Ajit Pawar
3) He played the role of forming a rebel government
4) He filed a weak petition in the court
5) He appointed Jayant Patil as new NCP Leader thereafter which will not stand good legally
After doing all this, it is necessary for Sharad pawar to save his image in the public.
So what he does?
He sends messages through media that it was Ajit Pawar's personal decision to form rebel government and shows "solidarity" with Congress and Shiv Sena leaders by moving with them.
This is a classic case of eyewash politics.
Not only Sharad Pawar, Congress also has indulged in eyewash politics by approaching the Governor's office, in his absence today, to give the letter of forming tripartite alliance government.
If it had numbers, the alliance could have submitted the affidavit in the Supreme Court, but they didn't.
Now, what next?
Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will fix date and time of the floor test. After that, the whole process will begin. First the house will appoint a Protem Speaker. Second, all legislators will be made to take oath. Third, a Speaker will be elected. Fourth, the agenda will be taken up - either the floor test.
There could be an uproar in the assembly on the issue of who has the power to issue whip to NCP MLAs? In all certainty, the letter endorsed by Supreme Court claiming that Ajit Pawar is the party's legislature leader.
Ajit Pawar will then issue the whip asking all NCP MLAs to mandatorily vote for the government, if some violate, they will be disqualified.
Therefore, the chances of BJP and NCP forming a government is more likely.
Then what will Sharad Pawar do?
If 36 MLAs who were with him in the hotel votes for in Ajit Pawar's favour, then Sharad Pawar will talk about his helplessness to Congress and Shiv Sena by saying he tried everything politically, but failed constitutionally.
After a while, he could push for MP Supriya Sule, his daughter, into the central ministry as a reward for forming Maharashtra government.
Suppose, if 36 MLAs votes for Ajit Pawar and other MLAs stay with Sharad Pawar, then there will be two NCP parties lead by Supriya Sule and Ajit Pawar.
If you look at it from any angle, Sharad Pawar will be as good as a father to Supriya Sule and as good as uncle to Ajit Pawar ... Period.
Besides the great names, there is one and he is Lutyens media's favorite - Kanhaiya Kumar, a JNU alumnus. He was famously accused of flashing his penis at a woman who objected to his urinating in public. He was fined Rs 3000 after he was found guilty in a formal inquiry initiated by the university.
Rona Wilson. He is accused of planning a Rajiv Gandhi type assassination plot to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his road shows in the run-up to 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Shehla Rashid, a parasite, who makes a living by spreading fake news to sow seeds of hatred on religious and caste lines. She is charged with collecting lakhs of rupees for Kathua rape and not handing over the amount to the victim’s family.
Despite all this, these virulent rats are still hero worshiped by hypocritical journalists like Michael Angelos and Bakait Pandeys (Rajdeep Sardesais and Ravish Kumars), whose only agenda is to browbeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his policies.
Distasteful history
From being listed as one of the most prominent educational institutes to being one of the most controversial universities in India, Jawaharlal Nehru University has come a long way to oppose Modi government on almost all issues.
The journey, began in 2016 when university administration and students locked horns over holding an event against the hanging of parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, though the administration denied permission for the event.
However, the students held a debate on February 9, 2016, during which anti-national slogans were allegedly raised, leading to several university students charged with sedition charges.
In an act of hooliganism, the students, in March 2019, confined Vice Chancellor Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar's wife inside his residence after they broke into the house to protest against his decision to ban protest in vicinity of administration block.
A few months later, the students launched a protest against JNU's decision disallowing posters or writing slogans for any protest, terming it as an attempt to stifle their right to expression. However, the university's intention was to stop defacement of its property.
Even as the heat over this controversy had not subsided, the students opposed the hiked fee structure for hostels and confined a female associate professor in a classroom. She was rescued by police after a harrowing 20 hours of confinement.
Thereafter, the students resorted to vandalism by desecrating Swami Vivekananda's statue by unidentified assailants and writing abusive words below it, directed towards right-wing ideology and BJP government.
Later, a media team belonging to IANS was assaulted by these goons on November 12. They also assaulted JNU's women security officers on November 14.
They also manhandled a Zee News reporter and made lewd remarks against her. Amidst chants of "Zee News murdabad" and "Hindi media murdabad", these 'uncles and aunties' manhandled the reporter. Similar was the treatment meted out to eight women reporters of Hindi news channel Sudharshan News.
The selective silence
The students also attempted to silence Republic Media Network by turning off its microphone during a press conference held by them at JNU and none of the lefty-liberal brigade and Lutyens media came forward to condemn these act of hooliganism.
The silence over these unruly behavior of the students even against women reporters exposes their political agenda, tacitly backed by the Congress and the left parties, besides so-called liberal intelligentsia.
They have completely ignored the outrageous conduct of the 'students' and not condemned vandalisation of Swami Vivekananda's statue which is scheduled for inauguration at the university.
Hypocrisy is thy name of these set of divisive journalists. Hundreds of journalists, in February 2016, had marched towards Supreme Court demanding action against lawyers, who allegedly had beaten up journalists and JNU students gathered to witness the presentation of JNU Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar arrested on the charge of sedition.
The much-needed change
It is high time for them to re-invent themselves. They are unable to understand the reason for the voters dumping their style of journalism like putrid food, election after election.
They have failed to initiate a genuine campaign against the current government because of their infatuation towards rabid and repeated slogans of "RSS, Church attack, Intolerant India, Award Wapasi, Cow Slaughter, Lynching, MeToo and Domestic Slowdown, Rupee Depreciation, Deflating Consumer Sentiments, GDP Growth", which hardly evince interest in voters to defeat Modi.
They had underestimated the impact of toilets, cooking gas and electricity in villages, which had changed the aspirations of rural masses. They also failed to acknowledge the success of universal healthcare, crop insurance and Mudra loans, which made greater sense to farmers.
Realising and understanding the politics of Modi can be a good starting point for the Lutyens media.
But, the problem all along has been their bet on the wrong player and team — Congress, led by empty pots Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, who make most of the noise, with the full backing of another set of empty pots - the Lutyens media and the Left intelligentsia.
The Cellular Operators Association of India led by Bharati Airtel and Vodafone Idea, have resorted to threatening and blackmailing the Indian government, by raising a false alarm on unprecedented crisis in telecom sector after the recent Supreme Court judgement on definition of Adjusted Gross Revenue.
They are threatening and blackmailing the government by referring to possible job loss; quality of service loss and loss of investments in the sector.
Many media picked up unconfirmed reports about Vodafone shutting its operations in India if the government does not give some relaxation to the company on demands for mobile spectrum fees.
If the company wants to exit India, so be it? Because, in its absence too, there will be vibrant competition between PSUs and private players, including the new entrants.
Moreover, it has been been claiming financial stress since long, but raking in moolah without bothering to modernise the networks, as evident for TRAI data in its IUC CP.
According to a Reuters report, Vodafone Global CEO Nick Read raised questions against Indian government by saying, "Financially there has been a heavy burden through unsupportive regulation, excessive taxes and on top of that we got the negative Supreme Court decision."
Is there any merit in the claims made by Read and COAI?
In contrast, the government has been more favorable to the telcos than what is being made out to be by Read and others. It had reduced 15 per cent AGR fixed as license fee 13 per cent and lastly to 8 per cent in 2013, which resulted in a massive loss of more than Rs 3 lakh crore, under the revised policy effective from 1999.
The government and judiciary also are convinced that the companies were under-reporting revenues for long. In 2017, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, in its report tabled in Parliament, had claimed that six private telecom players had understated their revenues by over Rs 61,000 crore, causing a loss of Rs 7,697.62 crore to the exchequer.
In contrast, the telcos were unsupportive as they broke the promises made to the government under the contract and went on to make abnormal profits through cartelisation, which helped them to flourish by charging heavily on data and voice services, but Jio's entry compelled them to reduce tariffs, benefiting subscribers.
Also, they did not make provisions, which should have been done, as they were aware of the government and court's position as early as 2008 and 2011.
On raising a false alarm on unprecedented crisis in telecom, if the situation was as such, how on earth Airtel started and continued business in African countries despite initial "losses?"
The truth is - the sector is in the consolidation phase, and hence, short-term losses during this period cannot be taken as stress, when an investor looks for future opportunities, especially in an era of Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain technology and robotics, which promise to act as a multiplier in the economy.
Therefore, the talk of the stress is only to get maximum concessions and no company will exit for sure considering the bright future. And even when if the stress exits, it cannot be attributable to the policymaker as they are result of wrong business decisions.
Both Airtel and Vodafone have sufficient financial capacity to pay the government dues by monetising their existing assets and investments and by issuing fresh equity in their companies.
These service providers have stakes in many profitable ventures in the country and abroad and have made multi-million dollars of profits in the countries post investing the proceeds from telecom business, including the regulatory levies withheld for decades.
The telecom industry is staring at Rs 92,641-crore payout following the verdict. The court last week had given verdict in favor of the government, who sought inclusion of revenue from non-telecommunication businesses in calculating the AGR of telecom companies, a share of which is paid as licence and spectrum fee to the exchequer.
Bharti Airtel faces a liability of around Rs 42,000 crore after including licence fees and spectrum usage charges, Vodafone-Idea about Rs 40,000 crore and Jio around Rs 14 crore.
What is required on part of the promoters and top management of the companies is to sincerely pay up AGR as agreed in the licence conditions and restore their credibility.
And, three months time given by the court to share the revenue is lenient compared to stringent provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016. Period.
The Supreme Court yesterday wound up the fake Rafale scam by dismissing all review pleas seeking investigation into the defence deal.
The court, in its verdict, rejected the pleas filed by advocate Prashant Bhushan and former Union Ministers Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie, who argued that Narendra Modi Government had suppressed information from the court regarding the deal to procure 36 Rafale jets.
In the aftermath of this verdict, it is expected that the malicious attempt to malign the character and personal integrity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by media and a particular faction of the political establishment, ebbs down as soon as possible.
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and libtards fabricated lies and passed on to the mainstream media who were eager to provide them a platform to sway the minds of the voters in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The media led by 'The Hindu' Editor N Ram effectively campaigned against Modi government.
In this whole campaign, it will not be an exaggeration to claim that Ram benefited the most in terms of advertisements placed by rival companies of Rafale in 'The Hindu', which is owned by him. Reasons for Rahul Gandhi to peddle Rafale lies
Reason 1: What bothers Congress and Rahul Gandhi most is Modi's clean image. He has been in politics for the last three decades, but not a single corruption charge has been leveled against him. They tried hard to tarnish his image with 2002 Gujarat riots, but failed.
They also used many adjectives, including Sonia Gandhi and Mani Shankar Aiyar's 'Maut ka Saudagar' and 'Chaiwala', during election campaigns in the past. In the last election, they used 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' and 'Neech' slogans to change people's perception that Modi is an an honest politician.
Also, the Congress did not have a single genuine issue to defeat Modi, considering the comparative performance of both NDA and UPA governments. NDA's performance was far better than a decade's rule of UPA, which was remote-controlled by Sonia Gandhi.
So, they tried to do what they do best - to lie and spread it with the help of their well-oiled lobbies at every place. They believe that a lie told 1,000 times would be converted into the universal truth. Hence, they kicked up a campaign on Rafale deal against Modi.
It is very apt to mention here that Ram and Co, in a bid to help Congress and Rahul gandhi in the runup to 2019 Lok Sabha elections, had intentionally cropped an internal note of the Ministry of Defense to exclude the then Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar’s response and present a distorted view of the events that transpired.
Soon, ANI and Republic TV, exposed Ram's fallen journalistic ethics by publishing the full page of the note, which showed that he had cropped the document to omit Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar's reply to it.
Parrikar's reply made it clear that both PMO and French President offices were monitoring the government to government deal, and the comments of the secretary are an overreaction.
Moreover, the negotiations referred to in Defence Secretary G Mohan Kumar's dissent order in the note had nothing to with pricing at all, thus dislodging the lie of Rahul Gandhi's claims of Modi stealing Rs 30,000 crores based on Ram's distorted presentation of events.
Also, it is important to note that the dissenting Deputy Secretary (Air-II) was neither a part of Defence Acquisition Council nor a part of Indian Negotiating Team for the defence deal.
Therefore, the Supreme Court observed that the whole Rafale deal process was struck between the French and Indian government according to law and hence there should not be any further probe into the issue.
More than anything else, Supreme Court gave relief to Rahul Gandhi while simultaneously reprimanding him strongly in the contempt case filed by BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi against him for attributing his 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' political slogan to the apex court, ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Pronouncing the judgement, Justice SC Kaul said that it was unfortunate that the contemnor (Rahul Gandhi) had made such remarks and that he - holding such an important position - should have been more careful.
Justice Kaul observed that no court should be dragged into any political discourse.
Following this, citing the affidavit filed by Rahul Gandhi in which he had apologised, the three-judge bench in a concurring judgment said that it would not like to continue with the contempt proceedings further.
Not only Rahul Gandhi has been accused of running a fake "Chowkidar Chor Hai" campaign to win elections, but also accused of working as a "lobbyist" for foreign firms.
Earlier, the Congress scion had accused Modi of acting as a "middleman" of Anil Ambani in the Rafale jet deal, as he cited an Airbus internal email to claim the businessman was aware of the MoU before India and France signed it.
It is suspected that the email was provided by Airbus, which was the only competitor to Rafale in a bid to win the deal.
In a scathing rebuttal, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad sought explanation from Rahul Gandhi, asking him from did he get the internal email of Airbus and alleged that he is working as a lobbyist for foreign firms, including Airbus.
Airbus, an European aircraft manufacturer, is already under a needle of suspicion in deals finalised during the previous Congress-led government. The firm is also linked to a corporate lobbyist, Deepak Talwar who was deported from the UAE and is being probed on money laundering charges.
In a separate Augusta Westand chopper case, investigations revealed that jailed Christian Michel had access to internal discussions of the UPA Cabinet and Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meetings and to confidential conversation between US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Reason 2: Rafale deal also "troubled" Congress because Modi government had cancelled the offset bid of notorious arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, a close aide of Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra.
Bhandari who ran Offsets India Solutions, at one point of time, had applied considerable pressure to get a slice of work in the Rafale deal. However, the French firm - Dassault Aviation decide against working with OIS after a few initial rounds of talks.
In May 2016, Bhandari's offices in New Delhi were raided by Enforcement Directorate, as they were probing into the arms dealers indulgence in wrongful defence deals. Thereafter, he fled to London ever since.
Bhandari has been booked under the Official Secrets Act after confidential defence ministry documents were found in his offices. Investigators also are looking into charges of his attempts to influence defence deals with European companies in India.
What the verdict proves?
The closure of Rafale case proves that the watchdogs of the government themselves have been corrupted beyond limits, that they shamelessly share the same plank with people belonging to one particular section of the political establishment, having common interests that are opposed to the ideals and values of Sangh Parivar.
So, with no other options left with the political establishment led by Rahul Gandhi who was ably supported by the media, staged a failed coup using their resources to create a false narrative to influence voters by calling Modi, a thief and a dishonest politician.
